Teethease Teething Necklace – Review
With a 6-month-old baby boy in the house, we have just hit the beginning of teething for him. With my first child, we used frozen wet wash cloths and amber and hazelwood teething necklaces. My daughter was a relatively easy teether, but she did like to chew on my furniture and I still have teeth marks on my coffee table and all of her wooden toys!
For my son, I was hoping to find something that was safe for him to chew on and that wouldn’t be marred by his teeth. When I was given the opportunity to review the Medley teething necklace by Teethease, I was excited to put it to the test!
Teethease is an cool company that offers safe and fun teething jewelry. All of their products are made from soft medical grade silicone free of BPA, PVC, latex, heavy metals and phthalates. The Medley necklace that I received has great features like the easy break-away clasp, and different bead shapes for baby to fiddle with and chew on.
The Medley teething necklace is available in four different color options; I received the purple color set, that is funky and matches well with most of my outfits. My son loved to sit in my lap and chew on the soft balls and discs. He also liked playing with the beads, spinning the beads around, as well as simply sucking on the string.
I also found that the Teethease teething necklace doubled as a handy aide to help keep a nursing baby focused when breastfeeding.
Teethease Teething Necklace – Pros
- Teethease offers a beautiful selection of colors.
- The Teethease Medley beads are soft and small and fit great into tiny mouths.
- Wearing the necklace means that when baby drops a bead, the entire teether stays on your neck and doesn’t drop to the ground
- Teeathease teethers are made from non-toxic materials.
- The Teeathease teething necklace doubled as a great distraction during breastfeeding.
Teethease Teething Necklace – Cons
- I felt that the $27.95 price tag for the Teethease Medley teething necklace was too high.
- I didn’t like that the beads were very loose and could move along the string, all the way around the necklace. My 6-month-old kept losing the beads along the string and quickly got frustrated. (I ended up tying knots in the string to keep the beads from moving.
Would I Buy the Teethease Teething Necklace?
Although it is a great teething toy and handy to have around, I think it was priced too high, which would keep me from buying it again. Also, Teethease products aren’t available at a brick and mortar store near me so I would end up paying shipping too. If the price was more reflective of the value of the product, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again!
